In 2010 Mac & Gayle Shann started the ‘One Moore Daddy’ Bonus Novice Draft, and had it accumulating each year till a direct progeny of OMD won the draft and collected the bonus. 2013 was the first year their was one of his progeny in it (as none were old enough). In that very first year ‘Cantaur Park Daddys Girl’ won the Novice. She is owned by Mac & Gayle and she is the oldest OMD progeny on the ground.
Since they won there own Bonus, Mac & Gayle decided to continue the Bonus, make it $2000 and put it across all the Maiden, Novice, Open & Res Open. Mt Coolon draft didn’t run for 2 years due to dry conditions, but it started up again in 2016 and ‘Cantaur Park Guardian’ ridden by Will Durkin narrowly missed the Bonus when he ran 2nd in the Maiden with a 91 & 88.
In 2017 Stacey Haucke took it out by winning the Maiden Draft on her brilliant 5 yr old gelding ‘Gunsmoke’! It was awesome to see made even better by the fact that she won on the cattle donated and walked in by Mac & Gayle Shann. Also to top it off Mac Shann won the One Moore Daddy Open Draft that they sponsor $1000 towards on his talented gelding ‘Porter’!
