Cantaur Park Horses
Horses have been a passion for both Mac and Gayle all of their lives. They had been breeding and buying horses for years before, but in 2000 Mac and Gayle registered their prefix as Cantaur Park. They have had several stallions, achieving success in the Campdraft and Challenge world. They are currently standing Sylvia Vale Kilt, an ASH stallion who has won Maiden, Novice and Open drafts as have his progeny.
In 2006 they purchased One Moore Daddy a QH colt, but as they describe him, 'built like a stock horse'. He has achieved great things in 2008 winning 4 of the 5 Challenges he competed (Rocky Rush, Monto Gold Buckle, Cloncurry Stockman's Challenge and Paradise Lagoons), a feat that has never been done before. (See One Moore Daddy tab)
Mac & Gayle have a selection of well performed broodmares and mares with recognisable bloodlines. They include mares sired by Warrenbri Romeo, Warrenbri Omega, Acres Destiny, Hazelwood Conman, Elliotts Creek Cadet, Kirkby Stud Officer, Blue Moon Mystic, Arcadia Pete, Dugan View Abdaloo, Duneden Shamdeck, Glencoe Abstract, Holmrose Lawmaker, Einnor Black Jack, Eskdale West Rugged Kid, Snip Star, Pinelands Valley Peppy Shadow, Myall Springs Omar and Sylvia Vale Kilt.
Breeding, training and competing on horses has been a passion on both sides of the family for many generations. The Shann's are gradually building their stud and should have more and more progeny for sale in years to come.
